My name is Barbara, I'm Italian, but I was born in Morocco, grew up in Monza and I've always been in love with Turkey.
I started attending my first art school at the age of 10, A. Conti Painting school in Monza; more or less at the same age I received my first camera, a small Kodak, as a gift from my father.
After 3 years in the kids course, I advanced to the class for adults with the teacher Andrea Sala. Under hs precious guide I've learnt several techniques, from pastel to oil painting, from charcoal to engraving. In 1995 Sala founded Monza Fresco School where I gruaduated in 2000 and where I still attend classes both as a pupil and an assistant.
Meanwhile, I grew up and had the chance to travel more and more and this contributed to increase my love for photography.
Lots of the pictures on this site are scanned prints of my glorious Minolta SRL 300si Af 35-70mm shots, or they are digital photos taken with a compact Sony DSC-V1. In 2007 I start shooting with a Canon Eos 400D. My current lenses are:
Canon 28-105mm F 3.5-4.5 USM II
Canon 18-55mm F 3.5-5.6
Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6
